Repair questions
How do I know if I need a waterproof coating vs. a stain?+
If the deck is elevated over living space (a lanai above a garage or living room), you need a waterproof system. Ground-level decks over dirt or slab can usually use stain and seal.
Can you fix rusty metal railings without replacing them?+
Almost always yes. We wire-brush and sand to sound metal, treat with rust-converter or marine primer, and repaint with an enamel top coat.
How slip-resistant is the finish?+
Our Better and Best deck systems offer slip-additive options, required around pools and wet zones, optional elsewhere.
